We work in conjunction with the Irish Heart Foundation to deliver Leader Training for voluntary Community Walking Leaders including;

Community Walk Leader Level 1 

The Level 1 Community Walk Leader Training Course enables participants lead safe, enjoyable and health-promoting walking sessions and programmes in their communities. Key content includes Physical Activity Guidelines and Walking, Legal and Safety Issues, Group Management, Group Formation.

Spring 2018 Level 1 Training

The Spring 2018 programme is outlined below

Community Walk Leader Level 2 

The Level 2 Course aims to enable participants organise and lead 'treks' on approved waymarked walking routes, in particular Coillte Trails and Failte Ireland Loops. Key content includes Development of Waymarked Routes, Basic Map Interpretation, Key Websites, Legal and Safety Issues, Group Management, etc.
